Blogger Sues BT for Infringement of Copyright
On June 9, the Supreme Court held the preliminary hearing into the case filed by blogger Anton Motolko against the Belarusian TV and Radio Company. The blogger accuses the state-run TV channel that it had used his photos of polar shining without the author’s consent.

Founder of pro-opposition website extradited from Russia to Belarus
Minsk, 7 June. The founder of Belarusian pro-opposition website 1863x.com has been extradited from Russia to Belarus, a spokesperson for the Belarusian Prosecutor General's Office told BelaPAN on Tuesday.

On June 3, the Minsk City Court heard the cassation appeal of 79-year old Aliaksandr Lapitski who had been found guilty of insulting public officials and sentenced to psychiatric treatment.

Belsat Director in a Public Meeting at Press Club in Minsk
“Minsk is changing a lot, and there is a drastic difference between the capital and the province” this is how Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy formulated her fresh impressions from Belarus. Press Freedom Week in Review
In the first week of May, Belarus celebrated a whole bunch of holidays, and press freedom day was not an exception. Although, there is not much freedom of the press here, as Freedom House described it in the recent report, and the media environment is not normal, as IREX aptly noticed, Belarusian journalists still enjoy enough freedom to talk about freedom, and that was the highlight of May 3rd.
