IFJ suspends Russian union
The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) today suspended the Russian Union of Journalists (RUJ) from membership following a vote of the Federation’s global Executive Committee.

Prosecutor General's Office set to declare Belarusian Investigative Center extremist organization
Viasna Human Rights Center reports that Prosecutor General Andrei Shved lodged a legal application to the Supreme Court requesting to recognize the Belarusian Investigative Center as an extremist organization and ban its activities on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Malanka Media recognized as "extremist formation"
The Belarusian authorities recognized the Malanka Media project as an extremist formation. The ruling was made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on February 15.
