Radio Svaboda freelancer Andrei Kuznechyk was to be released from a temporary detention center on December 15. His second 10-day arrest ended that day.
Ksenia Martul, a lecturer at the journalism department of the Belarusian State University, was detained during classes on December 14.

On Human Rights Day, December 10, 2021, the Seimas of Lithuania hosted the Lithuanian-Belarusian forum “Human Rights and Journalism” attended by representatives of the Belarusian Association of Journalists and international human rights organizations. The Belarusian portal Ezhednevnik (ej.by) is blocked. Its editor, investigative journalist Siarhei Satsuk, was searched and interrogated by the Investigative Committee. It has been reported to the Belarusian Association of Journalists that Siarhei Satsuk was taken into custody after interrogation in the old case of accepting a bribe. He will be placed in pre-trial detention center #1 in Minsk.
